Our latest Distinctive driveways project in Blind Lane, Shadwell shows how we produce driveways for a range of clients and businesses.

We have used Raj Green Indian stone for this beautiful driveway. It was used to bed the stone paving onto a concrete bed base.

Natural paving stones are always a popular choice for home paving. For many people, they have replaced concrete flags for distinctive driveways. But there are alternatives if you can’t afford natural paving. Concrete copies of old stone flags are a more affordable choice.

They also offer some advantages as they can be produced to an exact size. Coursing and making patterns becomes much easier. Builder’s merchants can package them up and sell via retail outlets, so they are easy to get hold of.

Stone – Only the real thing for distinctive driveways

Most noteworthy is that natural stone is becoming more and more popular. Stone is now being imported from really far places around the world. Especially a surge in sandstone from India. This stone is sold by many names, most of all northern names, to make it sound British.

Granites are another popular choice. They come from Brazil and China. Southern Europe also supplies limestones and travertines which are a nice alternative. It’s always worth doing your research before purchasing any stone paving or concrete flags.
